Mothers Day Plants
Mother's Day is a Sunday, so we deliver the Saturday
Mother's Day falls on the second Sunday in May, and we don't deliver on Sundays. That makes the Saturday your delivery day, with a 10am cutoff for same-day. It works out better than it sounds: the plant is in the house before the day starts, rather than turning up in the middle of lunch. Order earlier in the week if you'd rather not watch the clock.
Choosing a Mother's Day plant
Start with her place, not the occasion. A bright kitchen or a north-facing living room can take something with real presence. A unit with light from one side is better served by foliage that tolerates shade and still holds its colour. If you're buying with siblings and it's going to be the larger gift, size up rather than adding more things.
What to send when you don't know her place well
Choose the forgiving one. Plenty of indoor plants cope with lower light and irregular watering, and they're the right answer when you can't picture the room it's going into. A plant that survives the first six months is a better gift than one that looked more impressive on the day and was gone by winter.
